South Central Regional Coaches Cross-Country Poll
 September 20, 2000

Several teams moved in and several others switched positions in this week's edition of the South Central Regional Coaches Cross Country Poll. In the men's
poll, the top eight teams remain the same from last week, but the Longhorns of Texas and the Bobcats of Southwest Texas State narrowed the gap significantly on
the teams directly above them. The biggest mover in the men's poll were the Sam Houston State Bearkats, moving into the poll this week in a tie for the number
nine position after a strong second place finish at the Rice Invitational over the weekend.

The women's poll fluctuated a little more with several teams moving around. The biggest movers were the teams from New Orleans, up three spots to number five,
and Arkansas-Little Rock debuting in the poll in the number nine spot after a team win at the SMU Invitational. The biggest fall came from the Lady Longhorns,
dropping from number four all the way to number eight, despite winning their own meet Saturday. Dropping out of this week's poll were the Texas-Arlington men.

The men's poll will be out later this week. In the women's national poll, Arkansas dropped two spots to number seven, while Texas A&M moved up three spots to
number 20 after a team victory at the San Diego State Aztec Invitational over the weekend and TCU received votes.

Meets on tap within the region this week include the Baylor-Powerbar Invitational in Waco, the UTSA Invitational in San Antonio, the Louisiana-Lafayette
Invitational in Lafayette and the SFA Invitational in Nacogdoches on Monday.
